👋 Hello everyone,

Craig Badings and Dr. Liz Alexander, shared "A hallmark of true thought leadership is the confidence to take the route that 99.9 percent of industry experts don’t even see."

Here are a few resources you might have missed:

📚 Book Summary:

This week's book is "Ready to Be a Thought Leader" by Denise Brosseau.

This book has received great reviews on Amazon. It suggests that becoming a thought leader is possible regardless of your experience, which may seem a bit simplistic. However, the book provides practical steps and insights that can help leaders on their journey.

One of my favorite takeaways from the book is this:

What transforms leaders into thought leaders is their willingness to bring about something new and then to learn from their early efforts and be willing to share their successes and failures, best practices, and lessons learned so that others don't have to start from scratch when it's their turn.

✅ Actionable advice:

Being a thought leader might be the pinnacle of leadership, but it is also risky. You must have an actual thought and the courage to share it. As a thought leader, you must be willing to take that risk—and you might as well realize—you will fail occasionally. Chris Voss, thought leader and author of Never Split the Difference, said, "Win, or learn." Be practical: create a failure report at the end of each year, celebrate your failures and your willingness to take risks. Hang it on the wall and share it with others. You will be the leader, helping others, not making the same mistakes as you.
