👋 Hello everyone,

Angela Duckworth said, “Enthusiasm is common. Endurance is rare.”

Here are a few resources you might have missed:

📚 Book Summary:

This week's book is "Practical Wisdom" by Barry Schwartz.

The book explains practical wisdom. Through examples from banking, medicine, and education, Schwartz demonstrates how over-reliance on rules and incentives can hinder our ability to act wisely and how some organizations have come up with strategies to overcome this.

One of my favorite takeaways from the book is this:

"We needed to learn to judge our success not in the moment but in the arc of the whole of child-rearing. It was there that we found happiness and the pleasure, which is probably what Aristotle meant when he said: 'For one swallow does not make spring, nor one fine day; and similarly one day or a brief period of happiness does not make a man supremely blessed and happy.'"

✅ Actionable advice:

Resist the urge to evaluate your leadership in the moment—it's not about passing a test, earning social approval, or quick wins. Shift from a performance mindset to a mastery mindset: one that embraces challenge, learns from failure, and values growth over time. Leadership isn't measured in highlights—it's about your consistency. Build systems that reflect your values, and trust that your impact will unfold over time.

Have a great week!
