2010 has been a year of change starting with an address change in the beginning of the year, and then a few months ago I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make a carrier jump, when I started as a SolidWorks/CAMWorks application engineer at upstate SolidWorks reseller CADimensions. So with these fabulous new directions in my life it was simply necessary to also shake and stir the looks of cadcamstuff.com
I hope you will find the time in your busy schedule to stop by from time to time hopefully finding lots of stuff to your liking. There is so many great things that have happened in the world of CAD and CAM as of late.
Dassault launching there free 2D CAD called Draftsight, consequently causing SolidWorks to halt there offering of there 2D Editor (before know as DWG Editor) from the end of 2011. Talking about 2011, What about SolidWorks 2011 being in pre-release. Our reseller roll out presentation skills are being polished and made ready. Have you received an invite from your local reseller? I also had the opportunity to visit HSMWorks (CAM inside SolidWorks) on my recent vacation to Denmark, that resulted in them extending my trial license, so for sure we need to look into what is new with them. Delcam launched there version of CAM inside SolidWorks earlier this year, and received there “Gold” status as SolidWorks partner, that could also be a fine subject for a blog post, don’t you think? Then of course, with CAMWorks being my new #1 CAM package, I believe we need to stir a little in its customizable database and automated feature recognition etc.
